What is the RWAF

Since its founding in 1983, Royal West has taken its place as one of the top schools in the province – public or private.

Our school’s mission is to provide a structured milieu in which students are committed to:

  • academic excellence in the core subject domains (Language Arts, Creative Arts, Math and Science, and Information and Communication Technologies),
  • bilingualism,
  • an awareness of social issues and,
  • a sense of community responsibility.

Following an assessment of our school’s needs and priorities by a group of RWA teachers in 1996, the RWA Foundation was incorporated in June 1997 by volunteer parents. RWAF was mandated to raise the necessary funding for three capital improvement projects: the construction of a new gym, the renovation of the auditorium, and the enlargement of our current library.
